Monday

At my appointment this morning with the specialist, it was discovered that our baby boy has passed away. I am being induced and will deliver sometime within 24 hours. Thank you for your prayers.

Friday

I went to my ultrasound this morning. Fluid level is still low, which is to be expected. Baby's heartbeat is 161 and strong. He is now breech again.  I took that as a good sign that he is moving around.  Dr. said it is better at this point to be breech because sometimes having the head down can act as a wedge to open up the cervix.  So, not much is new, which is good. We stay at the status quo, I keep laying down, and we keep praying.

Monday

Well, we've made it through the first week.  Things are the same.  We got a call from the genetics counselor today.  I took a blood test a week ago to see if there was a chromosome problem that might have cause the premature rupture of membranes.  We found out there are no indicators of down's syndrome, trisomy 13 or 18.  We were also able to find out from the blood work that IT'S A BOY!  We can now refer to him as "he". 

I won't plan to post for the rest of this week unless something changes.  My appointment is Friday again, so I'll update the blog after that.  So, no news is good news and we'll pray for no news.

Saturday

Nothing new today. Staying positive by reading success stories online.  Searching PProm (Preterm Premature Rupture Of Membranes), I found many people with no measurable fluid have made it to 25-34 weeks. Where there is life, there is hope.

Friday

I had an ultrasound and talked to the Dr. this morning.  There is .58 centimeter of fluid; pretty much nothing.  The baby's head has moved down. The Dr. said this doesn't necessarily mean the baby is coming today, but things are changing. My cervix is still closed and long (good).  So, we just continue our waiting game and I am scheduled to go back next Friday.

Thursday

Not much happened today. We should have more information after the ultrasound tomorrow.
